Nursery Overview

The Saint Felix School Nursery caters for children aged two to four years. Our bright and airy Nursery Suite provides a stimulating and safe environment that is specifically adapted to allow our youngest children to access the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. The beautiful, enclosed Nursery garden is equipped with climbing equipment, a pirate ship and a miniature version of the Southwold lighthouse. The children also have a sand pit and a myriad of trundle and ride-on toys.

In the Nursery, the children have the opportunity to learn and develop, led by well qualified staff most of whom have degrees in Early Learning and Child Development. The curriculum is planned to ensure that both indoor and outdoor activities are incorporated into the children's daily routine. As well as more traditional topics, once the children reach their third birthday, they will be offered spoken French, Dance and Swimming which are all taught by specialist teachers. Every child in the Nursery is observed by staff who identifies his or her interests and abilities. The Nursery Suite has specially adapted toilet facilities and a nappy changing area allowing toilet training and the development of personal independence when children are ready to move onto the next stage.

We are very proud of our wonderful Nursery. Come and visit it and see for yourself.
