Curriculum Enrichment

In addition to their timetabled classes and their private study time students also allocate some of their remaining time to enrichment activities.  These are chosen by the student and have recently included pharmaceutical work experience, local archaeology and Tudor cooking.  These specific choices run in conjunction with general enrichment for all students which includes student cooking, budgeting, cultural awareness and PSHE.  Students also offer support in the Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory Departments as sports leaders in games lessons and readers in English.

Flexibility, teamwork and leadership skills are all elements of a mature sixth former and the programme that is on offer to support and enhance the curriculum aims to develop these qualities in our students.  This programme is developing all the time as we grow in size and we welcome new ideas, especially those proposed by our students.  We want to support our Sixth Formers in exploring areas that encompass their personal strengths and interests as well as introducing them to new ideas.
