Saint Felix pupils perform well again in their A level and GCSE examinations
Thirty two candidates from Saint Felix School sat ‘A’ level examinations this year with the following results;
Pass Rate: 95%
Grades A* - A/B: 46%
Grades A*-C: 72%
Grades A*- A: 31%
The results are similar to last year, a number of students having performed particularly well.
Anya Zeitlin a weekly boarder, achieved 5 A grades at A level with two A* and a place at LSE.
Joselia Rosario achieved 3 A grades and is going to Bristol University.
Esmee Nicolson-Lai from Gorleston achieved 4 A grades and 2 B grades at AS level.
Forty eight candidates sat ‘GCSE’ level examinations this year with the following results;
Pass Rate:
Grades A*- C: 82%
Grades A*/ A: 43%
Grades A*: 11%
The results are similar to last year, however the A* and A grades are higher at 43%, with a number of students having performed particularly well.
Emily Robbins has achieved 11 GCSE’s 5 A* and 6 A grades.
Henry Pauley achieved 10GCSE’s: 5 A*and 5 A grades.
George Moss achieved 10 GCSE’s: 5 A*and 5 A grades.
Isaac Lister achieved 10 GCSE’s: 2 A* and 8 A grades.
James Heal achieved 11 GCSE’s: 1 A* and 10 A grades.
Tom Crick, Steven Ormerod, Polly Davies, Eleanor Moore, Imogen Wiltshire all received 9 A or A* grades.
Headmaster Mr David Ward was delighted for all the students, with their results being a reflection of their hard work and preparation. “Many of the students have performed better than their predictions grades i.e. producing high value-added scores. A year that has seen oversubscribed places for university courses which has put added pressure onto our A level students. We are delighted for all our students who have been accepted for places this year”.
This year has seen our boys outperform the girls for the first time at GCSE level since the school went co-educational.
