Five talented Saint Felix students recently took part in the Norfolk Festival, held at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Norwich.
Having previously entered students into the Suffolk Festival, this was the first time singers from Saint Felix attended the Norfolk Festival.
Sam Innes, 12; Charlotte Keeble, 16; Jamie Minns, 13; Eleanor Pybus, 13, and Isabella Weatherill, 11, all performed solo pieces at the concert.
They each received certificates for their performances – Sam received three commended marks, Charlotte was also commended and performed her grade 8 exam piece in the adult class. Jamie was marked highly commended plus, two highly commended and a commended plus. Eleanor received highly commended, three highly commended pluses and one commended, and Isabella was marked commended and a commended plus.
Head of Vocal Studies at Saint Felix, Vetta Wise, added: “I am really pleased with the efforts of everyone who performed at the festival – they were uniformly praised for their work. Everyone got very good results, and this shows how hard they have each worked. They are all very gifted performers and their performances show the consistency of standard coming from Saint Felix.”
