A charitable group of Students from Saint Felix have raised over £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support The pupils cycled from Saint Felix School to the Claremont Pier in Lowestoft and back.

Using just country lanes and back roads, the intrepid bunch of ten pupils and two members of staff completed their sponsored ride in just over five hours. All pupils were from LVJ in Year 9, and the event was organised by their form tutor, Mr Andrew Jenkins.

Safely off his bike and back on two feet, Mr Andrew Jenkins said the bike-ride had been an exhausting, yet satisfying day for all: “A number of pupils have had contact with Macmillan cancer care, or have had relatives affected by cancer, so as a group we felt we should do something really special to raise money for this very worthy cause. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, and we stopped for bacon butties along the way. The pupils did really well, and we now all have achy legs and saddle-sore!”
