Saint Felix Choir perform in Austria |
|
The Saint Felix School Choir has returned from an exciting trip to Salzburg, Austria.
Â
The Choir, made up of pupils and staff members of Saint Felix, enjoyed an array of highlights during the trip, including a chance to sing at the Salzburg Cathedral, a performance at an Austrian School, and a trip to Mozart’s birth place.
The group were also lucky enough to visit Mondsee, where scenes from The Sound of Music were filmed.
Saint Felix’s Director of Music, Andrew Jenkins, took part in the tour and said the Choir’s tour had been a resounding success: “The entire trip was fantastic – performing in the Salzburg Cathedral was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us all. We were really able to experience the Austrian way of life, and enjoyed every moment. We even visited a salt mine, which was outstanding!
“Public performances are always a great opportunity to develop the choir’s skills, but being lucky enough to travel to another country and perform for the people there takes things to a whole new level. The students gave superb performances and represented Saint Felix very well. My thanks go to Vetta Wise, Alison Evans, and all the staff who helped make the tour the great success it was.” |
