Design & Technology at Key Stage 4 is undertaken through GCSE.  If you make this choice you will have the opportunity to build on the Key Stage 3 programme of study, defining and refining and building on to the skills and knowledge already gained.

    

You will make a single marketable product supported by a design portfolio that demonstrates you can interact within a dynamic design process.  That you can work from a design brief; that you understand the needs of users; that you can develop a clear specification for a product and then produce a range of solutions; that you can develop, model trial and test your preferred solution to a point of being able to manufacture; that you have the skills to make a quality product and that you can test and evaluate.

Finally you will have to prove that you have the background knowledge that underpins the coursework you have produced.
