A/S Curriculum
The LVI group will be following the OCR English Literature course and studying E. M. Forster's novel 'A Room with a View' for coursework, Shakespeare's play 'The Tempest', Anne Stevenson's poetry 'Granny Scarecrow' and Charlotte Bronte's novel 'Jane Eyre'.
A2 Curriculum
Students will be studying Jane Smiley's novel 'A Thousand Acres as a Post 1914 Prose text, Shakespeare's play 'Measure for Measure, Blake's Selected poetry and American Prose focusing on F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel 'Tender is the Night' and 'The Color Purple' by Alice Walker.
There is considerable scope for wide reading in the A2 course and all students will have the opportunity to read the following:
