Chairman of Governors: Mr Nigel Johnson BA, PGCE IAPS Prep School Headmaster for many years. Led Brandeston Hall from 1985–2000 and was subsequently appointed Headmaster of Terra Nova School in Cheshire. ISI inspector. Retired to Southwold in July 2009. Governor with responsibility for Child Protection / Safeguarding. Member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee and Chairman of the Junior School Education Committee. Elected 2009 |

Mrs Margaret Angus MSc, TCert A Governor since January 2003 and Chairman of Governors 2007-2010. Headmistress of Saint Felix School from 1987 to 1991. Subsequently Joint Head of two other independent schools. Member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee. Chairman of the Senior School Education Committee. Post Graduate qualifications in Careers Education and in the teaching of children with specific learning difficulties. Elected 2002, re-elected 2007, due to retire in 2012. |

Mrs Hazel Anthony Mrs Anthony is currently Senior Mistress at The Royal Hospital School, Ipswich, where she is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and enjoys significant experience of boarding and Special Educational Needs. She is also an ISI inspector for Independent Schools and a tutor on a range of BSA (Boarding Schools’ Association) certificated courses. Mrs Anthony’s particular role will be in advising Governors and supporting Dr Letman in all matters concerning the direction of education in the Senior School. Elected June 2011 |

Mr Christopher Clarke Mr Clarke will be known to many parents through his work as owner of the Framlingham based estate agents Clarke and Simpson, as well as his involvement with land and property throughout Suffolk. He is also actively involved on the management committee of the Suffolk Show, the Framlingham Tennis Tournament and as a Committee Member of Aldeburgh Golf Club. Both Mr Clarke’s children were educated at Framlingham College, whilst his sister was an Old Felician. Mr Clarke will be particularly supportive of the Bursar in the management of land and buildings at Saint Felix, as well as the exposure his personal commitment and reputation will bring to the school. Mr Leslie Dawson OBE Mr Dawson is a Chief Executive with a record of delivering radical improvements in customer performance, profitability and reputation management in the water, gas and power utilities sector. He has enjoyed considerable management experience as Chief Executive with Southern Water, Managing Director Service Delivery at United Utilities and at National Grid Transco where he was Head of Operations and Information Systems Delivery. Mr Dawson has significant experience of business turnaround, process transformation, outsourcing and change leadership in complex regulated businesses coupled with non-executive experience in a range of sectors. He also offers the Governors of Saint Felix key skills in implementing innovative change delivering performance management, IT Strategy and delivery and Media and reputation management. Mr Dawson will join the Executive Committee of the Board (Finance & General Purposes Committee). Elected June 2011 |

Mr Robin Fournel Jeweller. Owner, with his wife, of the Amber Museum and Amber shop in Southwold and jewellery businesses in Aldeburgh and Bungay. Two almost grown up sons. Founder member of the National Youth Theatre. Interested in art. Appointed to assist in the promotion of links with the local community. Elected May 2010. |

Mrs Raewyn Hope-CobboldBA Originally trained as a teacher in New Zealand. Later became an entrepreneur running an extremely successful small business in Suffolk. Now closely involved in organising and developing 'Glemham Events' which she started in 2003. Elected 2008. |

Mrs Amorelle Hughes Amorelle Hughes was a parent at Saint Felix for eight years, the last three of which she served as a as a Parent Governor before being elected as a Governor. Her area of special interest is in the Junior school. She is a member of the Junior School Education Committee and the School Shop Committee. Elected 2008 |

Dr John Kelly Parent Governor. Dr Kelly has twin children in Clough House and his wife is an Old Felician. He was in general practice in Lowestoft for 30 years and now works part time as a locum. Dr Kelly was also a Police surgeon for 25 years with a particular involvement in matters concerning Child Protection in Waveney. He will also be able to bring experience as a School Governor and Chairman of Governors of Sir John Leman High School to the Board of Governors of Saint Felix. Dr Kelly is clear that in his role he seeks to ‘.....represent the parents to the Governors and the Governors to the parents.’ Elected June 2011 |

Mrs Elizabeth Talbot Parent Governor. Mrs Talbot has twin girls who are currently pupils in Clough House. She has been actively involved with the Friends of Saint Felix as Vice Chairman and is clearly very committed to the School. She leads a busy working life as a valuer and auctioneer and as a BBC Antiques Expert. Mrs Talbot’s wide range of contacts in Suffolk and further afield, together with her business experience and, most importantly, clear commitment to Saint Felix made her an ideal choice as a Parent Governor. As Mrs Talbot commented in her application ‘...our loyalty has extended to being heavily involved in the full extent of school life, so that we are able to contribute back directly to the source of our family’s gain.’ Elected June 2011 |

Mr Richard Turvill Company Director with a diverse range of business experience. He has been a senior strategy consultant and marketing manager. He has worked in France, Germany and Switzerland. Mr Turvill is a member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee. Parent of a daughter in the Senior school. Elected May 2010 |

Saint Felix parent with four daughters and now grandchildren at the school. Elected 2002, re-elected 2008 and 2011, due to retire in 2014. |
