Children and staff from the Dragons' Nursery have been celebrating World Book Day.
Children dressed up as their favourite characters from their most treasured books – Robin Hood, Christopher Robin and Buzz Lightyear to name just a few.
Even Noddy and Snow White made an appearance (although they did look suspiciously like Mrs Hunting and Miss Knights!)

The Dragons also made their own books, creating their own stories and illustrations. Halcyon Meldrum, Saint Felix School’s Chaplain, later read a Bible story to the children, entitled ‘Sail in the boat with Jesus.’ The children later played in the big wooden boat in their play area, enjoying the wonderful spring-like sunshine.

It was also an environmentally friendly day, where some children chose to dress all in green. They talked about how we can look after the environment and care for the world.
Lisa Laughland, Nursery Supervisor, said the children had had a wonderful day: “All the children looked fantastic, dressed up as their favourite book characters. We read stories throughout the day, talked about our favourite books and the children made books of their own to take home.”
