A group of pupils from Saint Felix recently got the chance to visit Twickenham, the home of English rugby.
The 22 boys were accompanied by members of the sports staff from Saint Felix, to watch the Oxford and Cambridge varsity rugby match
Tom Collis, 12, was one of the children who attended the trip: “We had a brilliant time – it’s the third time I’ve been to Twickenham and rugby is one of my favourite sports to watch and play.
“It was a great match, and one of the best bits of the day was when a Mexican wave started and went all the way around the stadium.”
Another Saint Felix pupil who visited Twickenham was 11-year-old Stanley Collins: “I had never been before, so it was a really good experience. The match was great, I enjoyed every minute and the best part was when tries were scored – the atmosphere around the stadium was fantastic and everybody cheered.”
Tim O’Connell, PE teacher at Saint Felix, accompanied the group on the trip: “It was a very high quality rugby match. We were able to see Daniel Vickerman play, who has 54 caps for Australia and is the Cambridge captain.
“The children had an opportunity to explore the home venue of English rugby, the museum and shop, and a great day was had by all.”
