The Saint Felix Senior hockey team visited Leiston High School for their first mixed fixture. On a smaller than average pitch, the team failed to gain momentum but coped well and demonstrated moments of skill.

With an early goal by Chloe Stewart, Saint Felix held on to a lead until the final stages of the match. Danny Ash in goal gave an excellent performance as did debutant Tom Sutton.

Under pressure in the late stages of the second half, Charlotte Keeble and captain Emily Rushmere provided stalwart defence to secure a well fought draw.

Midfielder and recently selected county player, Polly Davies, was named Player of the Match.

Director of Sport Georgina Kingstone said: “The closing ten minutes of the game saw much improved passing particularly between Tom Crick and Chloe Stewart. We will build upon this in the forthcoming Kirkley under 16 tournament.”
