On Thursday 25th February, the U15 Leiston and Saint Felix hockey teams joined forces in their first 11-a-side match against Leiston High School.

Playing on grass the weather held off to allow for relatively dry conditions.  Having practiced a number of set moves and encouraged to work in supportive units up and down the pitch, the Saint Felix side really pulled together to give a strong team performance. Each and every member of the squad demonstrated their worth and displayed high levels of commitment winning every free ball.

Leiston High School returned to the pitch after half time with a more determined attitude and put Saint Felix’s defensive players under pressure on numerous occasions.  With a powerful strike, Georgie, who was named Player of the Match, converted all five of Saint Felix's goals and was a force to be reckoned with.

Director of Sport at Saint Felix, Georgina Kingstone, commented: “Our girls were terrific and really put into practise what we had been focussing on in training. We thoroughly deserved to win, and Georgie was without doubt Player of the Match.”
